What’s a Shot Blasting Machine
Shot blasting machines are divided into drum type, chain plate type, rotary table type, trolley type, squirrel cage type and hanging type shot blasting machine according to the structure of the casting carrier.
Roller type and chain plate type shot blasting machines are suitable for cleaning small and medium-sized castings that are not afraid of collisions. The drum type shot blasting machine relies on the spiral guide ribs in the cylinder to turn the castings and move forward. The chain plate shot blasting machine makes the casting turn and run through the movement of the chain plate. Rotary, trolley and hanging shot blasting machines are used to clean large and medium-sized castings, usually with a fixed shot blasting chamber, and the cleaned castings rotate or move in the shot blasting chamber. The shot blasting chamber is generally equipped with several shot blasting machines, which are installed in different positions to eject projectiles from different directions to improve the cleaning efficiency and cleaning quality of the shot blasting machine. The hanging type shot blasting machine can be equipped with several hooks on the catenary according to the needs of the castings to be cleaned. The castings are hung on the hooks during cleaning, and they turn over while running forward. Castings are loaded and unloaded outside shot blasting, and cleaned indoors.
According to the working system, it can be divided into intermittent and continuous shot blasting machines.
The shot blasting machine is mainly composed of 4 parts:
①The shot blasting device generally uses a high-speed rotating impeller to eject the projectile in a certain direction under the action of high centrifugal force. During the working process, some shot blasters can swing at a certain angle or move up and down.
②Projectile collection, separation and transportation system.
③ The carrier body that makes the castings continuously run and turn over during the shot blasting cleaning process.
④ Dust removal system.
