The Production Methods and Chemical Components of SS Shot
Stainless steel shot, also known as stainless steel pill, stainless cast round steel wire shot, stainless steel cut wire shot, it is mainly used for shot blasting, sand blasting, shot blasting processing, peen forming, polishing, strengthening, matting, correction, retreat paint, removing the corrosion of surface of aluminum alloy pressure casting and copper alloy.
The production method of stainless steel shot can be divided into two categories. At present, the way by smelting atomizating and cooling to obtain the cast stainless steel shot is recognized as the first type of production method. The second kind making method is stainless steel wire by cutting and throwing circle to get stainless steel shot, stainless cast round steel cut wire shot, stainless steel shot. Stainless steel shot produced by using the second method is named Conditioned Stainless Steel Cut Wire Shot. 430 Ferrite Type: C <0.25%, Cr = 16 ~ 18%, Si <1%, Mn <1%.
316 Austenite Type: C ≤ 0.08%, CR= 16 ~ 18%, Ni = 10 ~ 14%, SI ≤ 1%, MN ≤ 2.00%, MO = 2 ~ 3%.
Specification: 0.1mm--3.0mm.
Shape: spherical, cylindrical.
Hardness: 240--600HV.
Material: austenitic stainless steel, ferritic stainless steel, martensitic stainless steel.
